Warburton Trail

Warburton Walking, Horse Riding & Bike Trail

Just 2 minutes away by car and just 4 minutes by bike is the well known and well used Warburton Trail.
This can be reached at Wellington Road where it crosses the road or opposite the Wandin North Post Office where there are excellent parking facilities or else from Burgi Hill Road at the rear of Wild Cattle Creek Winery.

A short 2 minute drive to join the trail at any of the nearby roadside crossings gives the tourist the opportunity to walk or ride along the route of the original train track.  The trail, which begins at Lilydale is open all the way to Warburton and can be joined at any place along the 38 km trail.  Hosts Bob and Dot are happy to pick up or drop off the intrepid walkers who wish to attempt the whole or part of the walk.

The trail is well maintained and offers bike riders the opportunity to ride the whole trail, stopping at various places along the trail for drinks and refreshments.
For hikers the trail has an easy grade and passes through bushland, gullies and open country.
For horse riders the trail offers an opportunity to enjoy the scenery from a vantage spot and to go for a nice long horseride.
